Disturbance on Ramsay Terrace
In the early hours of Saturday morning 16th July 2010, Bordertown Police attended a noisy music complaint on Ramsay Terrace, Bordertown. The occupants of the address were given a warning in relation to breaching the Environmental Protection Act.
Arrest in Bordertown
On Saturday night, a 43 year old Bordertown male was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court. The male was released on bail to attend court at a later date.
Loss of Licence
In the early hours of Sunday morning 17th July, a 22 year old male was reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol after being stopped for a mobile random breath test. It is alleged the male produced a reading of 0.083 and was issued an immediate loss of licence for 6 months.
Petty Theft in Keith
On Tuesday 20th July, a purse and contents were taken from a business premises in Keith. Police are continuing their enquiries and urge any one with information to contact Bordertown Police on 87521355, Keith Police on 87551211 or Bank SA Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Frances Road Vehicle Break-ins
On Wednesday 21st July, several vehicles parked at properties at various locations along Frances Road, between Bordertown and Frances were entered, with various property being taken from them. Items include wallets, mobile phones, GPS, clothes and alcohol. Enquiries are continuing. Police encourage anyone with information in relation to this matter to contact Bordertown Police on 87521355 or Bank SA Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Vehicle Accessory Stolen
On Wednesday night, an aerial was stolen from a vehicle parked at a Service Station on Dukes Highway, Bordertown. Enquiries have lead to the arrest of a 20 year old Bordertown male, who was charged with theft and who will appear at the Bordertown Magistrates Court at a later date. Enquiries are continuing into other people involved in the incident.
Road Accidents
On Thursday 22nd July, Police attended Naracoorte Rd, 16km south of Bordertown, in relation to a vehicle that had rolled over. No people were located with the vehicle, enquiries are continuing.
On Friday afternoon 23rd July, Police attended a single vehicle collision on Six Mile Well Road, Bordertown, after the vehicle left the road out of control. The sole occupant was not injured and Police are continuing their investigation.
On Friday night Police attended a single vehicle accident on the Dukes Highway, Bordertown. The sole occupant of the vehicle was conveyed by helicopter to Adelaide. Enquiries in relation to the cause of the collision are continuing.
Young Male Arrested
On Saturday 24th July, Bordertown Police arrested a 19 year old Bordertown male for returning to a licensed premises. It is alleged the male was involved in a disturbance at a licensed premises in Bordertown and directed to leave the premises and not return within 24 hours. It is further alleged the male returned to the premises within 20 minutes.
Electric Fence Stolen
On Sunday 25th July, Police attended an address on Pigeon Flat Road, in relation to an electric fence unit being stolen. Police are continuing their enquiries.
Dukes Highway Closed
At about 5.00 p.m. on Sunday 25th July Police attended a truck fire west of Bordertown on the Dukes Highway. The fire started in the B-double trailers, whilst the prime mover was unhitched and removed from the trailers. The B-double was carrying chemicals. The Dukes Highway was closed for a considerable length of time. (At the time of this report the Highway is still closed and not likely to be reopened until after 1 am on Tuesday 27th July).
