Set in an idyllic setting amongst gum trees, the course has an abundance of bird life and kangaroos.

The course is 5162 metres in length, with every hole being a challenge. There are five par 3’s, four par 5’s and the remainder are demanding par 4’s.

Competitions for Ladies are held on Wednesdays and on Saturdays for Men.
Green Fees are $20 per day and students play for half price.

A Brief History of the Bordertown Golf Club.
Golf was introduced to Bordertown in 1905 by Mr. Walter J. Thomson, on a course which was started near the old police station and which had some interesting hazards, such as crossing the railway lines with balls often landing in the ballast and playing over the sheep and cattle yards. A second course was started in the West Parklands in 1920 and was then modified when the old hospital was built. In 1935 a third course was formed where the caravan park and speedway are now. Prior to a club house being built, the Ladies Committee meetings were often held in Jean Allen’s 1940 Buick car. In September 1956 land large enough for a 18 hole course was purchased 6 kilometres north of Bordertown. Nine holes were developed first and Mr Tom F Allen, who was President from 1936-1974, hit the first ball. With much work done voluntarily, the course was completed in 1967.
It was and still is, fully watered, enabling play all year round on a well manicured 18 hole course with greens.
