Huge Crowd Enjoys Keith Diesel and Dirt Derby 2017

Sunday 26 March 2017

Keith again put on an outstanding show at their yearly Diesel and Dirt Derby held yesterday. The Keith and Tintinara District Show Society, along with hundreds of volunteers, pulled out all the stops, with the crowd treated to aerobatics displays, a tractor pull, lawnmower racing, a Centurian Tank demonstration and of course the Header Demolition Derby. This year there was the added attraction of V8 Superboat racing on the purpose built course. Plenty of food and drink was available all day, beginning with a big Saturday Breakfast of bacon and eggs, with local Hoods Earth Eggs. A ladies pavilion offered pause for those who were looking for a break, with a wine bar, coffee and tea, seating, stalls and exhibitions.

The day was a great success, with the huge crowd well behaved and enjoying themselves. Organisers have called the crowd at 10,000.

Our photographer for the day was Cindy McDonald, capturing some fantastic images of all the action, check out the gallery below.
