Thai Kickboxing in Bordertown

Showcasing a Commonwealth and Two Australian Titles

In association with the World Kickboxing Association, MatchMaker Promotions is again proud to present their fight event, “State of a Warrior”.

MatchMaker Promotions and Bordertown BJMA Martial Arts Club are working together to organise the event.

Representing both organisations, Kyoshi Terry Hutchings commented to BorderOnline, “last year’s event was a great success, we had huge support from trainers and fighters from across Australia, also from sponsors and the public. This year there has been even more interest, with sponsors and competitors jumping at the chance to be involved.”

The organisers are keen for the area to again experience a showcase of what is a fast growing and very popular sport in Australia, with the Australian Bob Jones Corporation martial arts organisation one of the first to bring Thai Boxing to this country in the 1970’s and 80’s.

With a full fight card of K1, Modern Thai and Full Thai Kickboxing and with the main events being Commonwealth and Australian Title fights, the night will be both exciting and entertaining, with eleven fights confirmed at this stage. Renowned MC Perry Cale will be in attendance to compere the event.

Tina Sougleris from Redstar Training Centre in Adelaide, is facing Alicia Pestana from Riddlers Gym in WA, in a contest for the female Commonwealth Professional K1 Featherweight Title.
