Arrests / Reports  

On Sunday 24 th of May, Bordertown Police arrested a 28 year old man for assault and property damage. He was charged at the Bordertown Police stationed before being released on bail.

On Wednesday 27 th of May, Bordertown Police arrested a male for a warrant and conveyed him to the Bordertown Magistrates Court to answer charges dating back to 2005.

Vehicle Fire

On Sunday 24 th of May, Padthaway CFS were called to a property on Galway Range Road after a vehicle caught on fire. No one was injured in the fire but the vehicle was destroyed.

Vandalism

On Sunday 24 th of May, at the Bordertown High School , 2 youths have damaged a surveillance camera by swinging on it repeatedly until the bracket broke. The damaged camera is estimated to cost $200 to repair, and police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Car Damage

On Sunday 24 th of May, in Keith, an unknown person has damaged a car which was parked in McBain Street overnight. The car’s aerial was damaged and the windscreen was smashed by a beer bottle. It is estimated that the damage to the car will cost approximately $250 to repair.

Wilful Damage

On Wednesday 27 th of May, in Bordertown, an unknown person has opened a valve to a 20,000 litre tank at a property on Darcy Kings Road . As a result the owner of the tank has lost approximately 3,000 litres, or $3,000 worth of Canola oil.

Theft

On Wednesday 27 th of May, in Bordertown, an unknown person has stolen a wheelie bin from outside a property on Ramsay Terrace.

Trailer Fire

On Saturday 30 th of May, a Victorian man was driving his car on the Dukes Highway when a mattress in the back of his trailer caught fire. Appears heat from the car’s exhaust sparked the fire which had to be extinguished by Bordertown CFS.
